Clint took up 4 courses. First he took up Physical Therapist and Shifted to BS. Bio For unknown reasons in his 3rd year in BS Bio, he shifted to customs for 2 years unable to find his real path he resorted to taking up caregiver. Before politics became his call, he first rendered his service in teaching young Tuburanons and even outside Tuburan’s boundaries. He took up Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education in Cebu Schoool of Arts and Trades and after he graduated, he taught in Lutupan that was during the year 1970-1972. Then his next teaching destination was in Montealegre, kalangahan and Tominjao. He only lasted in those places for 1 year. Accordingly, he would have to stay in Tominjao for 5 months but he was transferred in Central School of Tuburan by the time in Mrs. Montecillo older, the District Superintendent that time. He taught for 5 years in Central School intermediate level. At this time of the uprising emotions of the Filipinos, who faught for the freedom of the country; many literary writers continued the fight through their writings. Under the US colonialism, the writers continued to work freedom against the Americans for total freedom. Their works directly affect that to the Americans.
He described his teaching us very colorful. He taught in Colonia Elem. School and also in CSCST-PC as a secondary teacher. He also became the coach of Cebu Provincial’s Volleyball team. His colorful years of teaching lasted for 21 years. In year 1998, he retired as a public school teacher and entered politics. He ended his service as a school teacher to answer the call of the Tuburanons for good governance. He wanted to extend his service not only inside the classroom but all over Tuburan. He won as Municipal councilor for a consecutive years. His first 3 years was under former Mayor Pet Mendoza and his 6 years of service was under former Mayor Rose Suezo’s reign. For 3 years under Mayor Rose Suezo and the remaining 3 years, he served as Brgy. Chairman in Brgy. Caridad. It was due to political career issues and challenge that made him ran as the said position in the barangay. Thought the sudden turn out of positions, the dear councilor did not hold his pace. He remained steadfast in serving his community at that time. His Major platform as he mentioned was water systems for the people of Caridad and true to his words, now most of the sitics have water supplies. His major inspiration in his principles as a politician was former Brgy. Chairman of Carmelo, Brgy. Chairman Monares (may his soul rest in peace). It was because the projects and advocacies of this Chairman that greatly affected Sir Eddie. During the 2010 elections, Sir Eddie resumed to ran as Municipal Councilor of Tuburan for bigger purpose and the Tuburanons did not fail him in his purpose. It was at that time that Mayor Aljun Diamante was also the Mayor. At 2013 elections, Sir was re-elected as Municipal Councilor of Tuburan. The incumbent Municipal Councilor strive to push his purposes through and his wirfe, Mrs. Ondoy continued his advocacies in Brgy. Caridad for she was elected as Brgy. Chairman in Caridad.
